Oh my God!  I was whining to a friend about how much I was craving the taste of a steak jibarito, when she directed me to the incredible restaurant. And believe me, I've had authentic Puerto Rican food in Puerto Rico. And I've had the next best, when I lived in Chicago, down in Humboldt Park.
The sweetness of the plantains, the rich meat, the saltiness of the sauce. Literally an orgasm on a plate. And the rice, what can I say....just delicious. 2 huge plantain sandwiches and a very generous portion of rice.
It took me 18 years to get my jibarito, but it was so worth the wait. I am SO glad that I don't have to drive down to Chicago to get this. I will be returning frequently.

So. . . unfriendly service, mediocre food, dirty restaurant annnnd extortionate prices!
If you wanna waste your time and your money, you *could* come here, or you could burn burn your clocks instead.
Waitress came to our table twice, once to take our order, second to bring the food. . I was thirsty, I wanted more to drink, I repeatedly tried to flag anyone to get another soda only to have people make *direct* eye contact with me and ignore me still. .
Needless to say, I won't be coming back, I can cook Puerto Rican food, I'm *from* Puerto Rico.
I hope y'all got the sense to avoid this dirty hole in the wall

It was nice, and ok. I really wish they had some pasteles but they only have them on holidays.

Food was slightly above average.  Portions were small and food was way over priced. They charge $16 for some rice, steak and onions.  Overall it was an ok experience but won't be going back because of the over priced food.

This restaurant was good. It is a substitute if you cannot make it to Puerto Rican town in Chicago. We had the canoe for the first time it was different. Maduros with ground beef and cheese. I had the pollo guisado with Puerto rican rice. It was ok not the best but not the worst. My husband had the jibarito steak. He said it was awesome and he wouldn't mind coming back. It was a 40 minute ride for us coming from Kenosha, WI. I would give this place another try and try the jibarito next time.

The staff was friendly and awesome. The décor was modern sleek and clean. The cook was very nice. The girls at the front accommodated us, because we have a new baby and had to warm up milk they gave us hot water to do so. Very nice and you don't have to wait for something they come and check on you.
